During a home visit, Probation Officers with the 22nd Circuit discovered a large quantity of live marijuana plants being cultivated at a residence in Fisher.
Members of the Hardy County Sheriff’s Office seized live plants, harvested marijuana, and smoking paraphernalia from the residence. Anthony L. Starkey, 46, was arrested at the scene for probation violations. Additional charges related to the possession and manufacturing of marijuana are pending.
Arresting officer was Chief Deputy Dave Warren, alongside Hardy County probation officers who discovered the probation violations and marijuana growing operation.

“There are no illegal drugs ignored, and all criminals will be guaranteed law enforcement attention.”
Starkey pleaded guilty in 2013 to failure to pay court ordered child support. At that time he was more than $22,000 in arrears.
He is being held at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail.
