Moorefield protected the Hive from the Lady Warriors (25-17, 25-17) and Lady Vikings (25-22, 25-18) with solid volleys and serves in straight sets.
“We came out strong in the first game and kept the momentum going for the entire tri-match. This was good competition for us,” Moorefield Coach Morgan Hill-See commented.
Trinity Christian’s Rachel Rosen got this scoring started with a spike, but Moorefield’s Lindsey Rinker responded with a dink which was met with a dig not mustering enough to be returned.
The Lady Warriors answered with four points in a row on kills by Kate Dlugos & Rosen plus two service points by Jaclyn Smith.
After a serve into the net, Moorefield’s Alyssa Vetter stepped up to deliver an ace.
