Gene Elwood Ganoe, 75, of Wardensville W.Va. died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Golden Living Center-Rose Hill in Berryville Va.
Gene was born on February 20, 1942 in Washington, DC, a son of the late John E. Ganoe and Dorothy L. Smith Ganoe. He worked on heating, AC and sheet metal work in the DC area. He was a member of Episcopal Faith and an avid Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving are two sons: Greg Ganoe of Manassas, Va.; Phillip Ganoe and his wife Kim of Austin, TX; a daughter: Maria Denise Southee and her husband Dean of Burke, Va.; a brother: Kenneth Ganoe of Strasburg Va.; two sisters; Mary Sansalone and Anna Posey both of Arlington Va. and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two brothers: Lee Ganoe; John William Ganoe and a sister: Doris Jackson.
A graveside service was held in the Greenfield Cemetery in Wardensville, W.Va. on Friday, September 15, 2017. Officiating was Pastor Alanna McGuinn.
