In the early morning hours of Nov. 20, Haymond’s black Saturn Vue was found in the Clifford Hollow Scenic Overlook parking lot on Route 48 near Moorefield, with license plates removed. The investigation led to Haymond’s arrest 25 miles north of where his vehicle was found.
The Hardy County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone for their tips and watchful eyes over the past few days. Haymond is now in custody with the U.S. Marshals at Potomac Highlands Regional Jail awaiting extradition back to Virginia.
“This has been a great example of coordination between local law enforcement, US Marshals, and citizens showing concern for their community,” said Hardy Sheriff Public Information Officer David Maher. “Thanks again to all involved.”[/private]
