A Winter Feeding Area demonstration plot was established this summer at Spring Run Farm in Dorcas. A Twilight Meeting to view the plot and learn more about growing forages on these areas will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. at the farm at 147 Spring Run Road.
Dr. Ed Rayburn, WVU Extension Forage Agronomist and others will be on hand to lead a tour of the plot and to discuss management strategies and research being done. These efforts are designed to increase desirable forage production and to reduce soil and nutrient losses from these winter feeding areas. [private]
Please RSVP to the WVU Extension Service Office in Grant or Hardy Counties by Sept. 6. A light meal will be served to attendees
