In case you haven’t noticed, the parking lot in the center of town could use some TLG – tender loving green.
The parking lot has several opportunities to brighten the landscape and the town of Moorefield and the Hardy County Chamber are looking for someone, some organizations or some businesses to help.
“The chamber board thought it would be a good project for us to spearhead,” said Alice Shank, executive director. “Now we just need someone to take control.”
The parking lot already has a “green” history. The paving stones used to cover the gravel and dirt are porous and will allow storm water runoff to filter down through them rather than simply run off into the storm drains.
Anyone interested in contributing time, effort and/or money to help beautify the corner of Main Street and Winchester Avenue should contact Alice at the Chamber office. Call 304-530-1786 and she’ll put you on the list.
