Mrs. Berneda Helen (Williams) Clark, 94, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg, W.Va. Born on November 8, 1922 in Uniontown, W.Va. and reared in Knob Fork, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Ione (Phillips) Williams and Lewis Wetzel Williams.
Berneda attended a business college in Fairmont, W.Va., and then worked locally at a bank for a period of time before marrying William “Bill” Clark. She was also employed as a bookkeeper at Sions Equipment Corporation, a farm and poultry equipment supplier.
A long-time member of Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church, Berneda faithfully served on a number of church committees and could often be found dutifully assisting in the kitchen. Known for her ability cook, few who knew her are without a recipe in their cookbook courtesy of Berneda. She also loved crafting. She was a member of the Moorefield Chapter #102, Order of the Eastern Star.
In combination, Berneda and her husband Bill were a positive force for good; both served as faithful stewards to their community and cared deeply in assisting others in times of need.
Surviving family are her son, Robert Clark and his wife, Melissa (Schell) Clark; four grandchildren, Holly Clark, Heather (Phillips) Grapes and husband Erich Grapes; Hunter Phillips and fiancé, Bev Berg; and McKenzie (Clark) Buonaiuto and husband Joe Buonaiuto; two great grandchildren, Kailey Grapes and Landon Grapes; her brother, Everett Williams and wife Virginia Williams; three sisters-in-law, Madge Clark, Eleanor (Clark) Madigan and Bettie Clark; a brother-in-law, Ken Clark; a niece, Deanna (Lucas) Young and husband Bill Young.
In addition to her parents, Berneda was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Clark, and her daughter, Barbara (Clark) Phillips.
Friends may call at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street, Moorefield, WV, on Friday, September 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with funeral services being conducted at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield.
