Arlen R. Snyder, 77, of Lost City, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock, Va.
[private] He was born on February 9, 1938 in Alleghany Co. Va., and was the son of the late Harry C. Snyder and Frances G. (McDaniel) Snyder.
Arlen retired from ROCCO in Edinburg, Va. working in refrigeration. He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Wright.
Surviving is his wife Patricia (Davis) Snyder; a daughter, Teresa Snyder of Low Moor, Va.; a son, Travis Snyder of Selma, Va.; two step-daughters, Lisa Walker of Lost River, W.Va. and Cindy Nuckles of Selma, Va.; two step-sons, Danny W. Hyler and Bobby Hippert of Selma; a brother. Garland Snyder of Lost River, W.Va.; three sisters, Margaret Harmon of Alleghany Co., Va., Hazel Sinclair of Salem, Va. and Charlotte Redman of W.Va.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, W.Va. with Pastor Daniel Sterns officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Lost River, W.Va.
