The Hardy County Emergency Ambulance Authority budget for fiscal year 2018 includes projected income of $736,884 and expenses that equal that amount.
HCEAA Executive Director Derek Alt presented the proposed budget to the HCEAA board at the March 8 meeting.
The revenue will come from billing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance, as well as from collections of the Hardy County Emergency Ambulance Ordinance Fee.
More than half the expenses are personnel costs, which includes salaries, insurance, Social Security and worker’s compensation.
Also included in the expenses is a proposed stipend to Fraley Ambulance Service – $125,000 – and Wardensville Volunteer Rescue Squad – $60,000 – to cover some of their costs.
